NMA's driving directions to Walker Valley

Skagit M/C is implementing a new signage plan at Walker Valley.

New carsonite (flat fiberglass) posts are being installed to indicate the trail name and allowed usage.

Additionally, some of the trail names are changing to give longer stretches the same name, and make loops easier to follow.

At this time, (May 2006) 95% of the new signs are in place. New, updated maps are available now (as of Aug 1, 2006) as a PDF from the DNR link above. This updated map was made possible by a grant funded by the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation (IAC). We also hope to have a new map board posted at the Peter Burns Rd. trail head in the near future.

Below are images you will see on the new signs. A red slash indicates a usage that is not allowed.

To qualify as an ATV, the vehicle cannot exceed 48 inches in width.

At left is an example of a new sign. Allowed usage is Motorcycle and ATV only on this particular trail.
